Our History

Krishna Mandir of 40 Todd Street San Fernando is a non- profit company, incorporated under the provisions of the Companies Act Ch. 81:01 of the Laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is run and operated by a Management Committee.

The Krishna Mandir is registered as Branch No. 182 of the Sanatan Dharma Maha Sabha Inc. Of Trinidad and Tobago.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
It is the mission of the Krishna Mandir to become the Mandir of choice for the devotees of San Fernando and its environs. To this end it is resolved that the Management Committee of the Krishna Mandir is established and shall endeavor to do the following:

1. To promote the tenets of Sanatan Dharma in the provision of inter alia, religious services, cultural, educational and social functions;

2. To promote education in Hindu literature and scripture;

3. To promote the teaching of Hindi and Sanskrit and the education of devotees in these languages;

4. To promote the teaching of Indian Music and Indian Dance;

5. To observe, teach, educate devotees and to celebrate the Hindu Festivals as set out in the Panchaang;

6. To provide outreach services to devotees and the community;

7. To promote and foster a deep working relationship with the Stri Sevak Sabha Incorporated (Women´s Service League) and to ensure that activities of both groups as it pertains to the Mandir compliment each other in accordance with these Aims and Objectives;

8. To promote and foster the development of a Youth Arm of the Mandir and to cater specifically for the needs of youths as it pertains to the tenets of Sanatan Dharma;

9. To interact with other stakeholders in the community and nationally in the furtherance of the aims and objectives herein
